About the Board

The Sand Springs Municipal Authority (SSMA) is a public trust created under applicable Oklahoma statutes, with the City named as the beneficiary thereof. The City Council members serve as the Trustees of the Sand Springs Municipal Authority.

The City provides water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste services to its residents under the SSMA. These utility systems operate for the benefit of the City of Sand Springs and are an integral part of City operations. The City also owns and operates an 18-hole golf course, The Canyons at Blackjack Ridge, and the Sand Springs-Pogue Airport under the SSMA.
